There is more to be found out... Yukina's past is even more shrouded in mystery than Hiei, I'm afraid. Yukina was born of the Koorimes (ice maidens/apparitions).  You're Yukina! You're are a cute, kind, caring, sweet koorime. Your special abilities are your ice powers. Hiei is also your bother and he always looks out for you (you never find out that he is your brother though. Kind of like a dark angel.)! Your boyfriend is Kazuma Kuwabara and Hiei hates him (Aw! What a protective brother you have ^^). You know healing powers, which come in handy, a lot! You also have the ability to cry out hiruiseki stones, which are very rare. You usually wear a white kimono. | Her Tear Gems... Well...that's when she first met Hiei, I mean, really really met Hiei! She was taken by a black market man by the name of Tarukeney for her rare tears, which become priceless jewels. Hiei would have killed Tarukeney if Yukina had not STOPPED him. She pleaded that it would only bring more suffering and shed a few tears. Hiei, being the protective and 'loving' (yes loving) brother he is, said he wouldn't cause her any more tears and let Tarukeney live. And that's where they became just friends. (NOTE: Yukina, when she first saw Hiei, asked if he was her brother and he said no...and that he was sorry.) Kurama asked him why he did not tell her that he was infact her brother, and he said, "I want her to be happy." |

The Ice Field Yukina, when she was taken by Tarukeney, refused to cry tears for his selfish purposes and put up the ice field. However, when Tarukeney 'hired' the Toguro brothers to 'make her cry.' All the brothers had to do was kill two little sparrows, because that was her happiness in seeing them live and it gave her hope. After the birds were killed, she cried jewels and Tarukeney, being the selfish little imp that he is, gathered them up as if they were the greatest thing in the world...tears are the greatest thing in the world? When did this happen? Especially out of pain and suffering of becoming hopeless? He was a very sick man. |

| Final Episode Yukina looks so happy in this picture. I bet Hiei is glad (amused) whatever you want to call it, that she's safe and actually enjoying her life. I don't think he told her at all during the series... |
